Duty Free Haul

Hey Guys
well just got back from my holiday! and needless to say i hit duty free good and hard!
all for you :)
i was very well behaved and only purchased 3 items which were both gift sets so here we go and i shall put swatches and first impressions also :)

First item i purchased was Urban Decay's "Naked" palette
which i have wanted for some time so ye here it is

Also included with this palette was a 6m tube of primer potion and also a goof karma shadow brush!

The colours in this palette from left to right are
Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Dark Horse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep & Gun Metal
All swatches were done L-R and without primer so you can see there true colour payoff

I am soooo pleased with my long sought after NAKED palette and cannot wait to use it!! i think with the range of colours in the palette it is going to become my new favourite and goto product for sure!

Soooo my next item isss, Benefit "Primpcess Glamorous Eye Primping Travel Set"

i am a huge fan of benefit as it is so i knew this was going to be mine soon
most of the products in this kit i do own but its going to be very handy for my to have them all together in one box :) And this travel set includes

A mini BadGal Lash
3 powder Shadows, accent a contour and a liner
Eye Bright
Boi-ing 02
r.s.v.p cream liner

LUSH !!!

Hey all you LUSH lovers!
wellll i am a huge lush lover myself and i am constantly buying bath bombs and jelly shower products
buttttt this time i thought i would try some of their skin care products,
i myself have very dry skin so i asked the adviser which product they would consider best for my skin
she was very helpful and even demonstrated the products on my hands sooooo here we go......
Firstly i purchased

AQUA MARINA cleanser - this product was inspired by mermaids and has calamine and Irish moss gel it cleanses, soothes and moisturises all skin types
My first impression of this product when i was browsing was that is isn't very nice to look at, and i was adamant that nothing with green bits in was touching my face, but hey after a demonstration i was sold!
This tub itself i purchased for £5.85 for 100g and if i use the recommended amount then it should last me 3 months, so i shall be keeping track on how long this product lasts :)
After using AQUA MARINA my skin felt really hydrated and dewy
which is never a bad thing, i would highly recommend this cleanser to everyone and all skin types.

Secondly as i have mentioned i have dry skin so i needed a deeply hydrating moisturiser i was recommended several different moisturisers but as my skin can sometimes be sensitive CELESTIAL was the one for me, CELESTIAL is a heavenly moisturiser for sensitive skin is has vanilla, almond milk and dove orchid which will soften and calm easily irritated skin :) this product i purchased for £10.85 for 45g which is alot less the cleanser but i have been informed that you don't need to use very much product as a small amount does go far which always makes me smile ha! since buying this a week ago i have been using this religiously morning and night and i have noticed that my skin stays hydrated for alot longer!

Next is a product i never even knew existed but here goes 'LIP SCRUB' this product amazes me, this is a sugar scrub which you apply using your fingers and then remove by licking off, sounds strange at first but there are 3 different flavours choc, mint and bubblegum, i went for the bubblegum. this i cannot get enough of, after the winter months everyone is getting rid of their colds and all of us at some point cannot get enough of lip balms well, this is the solution to dry cracked lips, go treat yourself! :)

Shout out to LUSH, the amazing this about lush products is that they are all handmade and contain a very small if any amount of preservatives which can allow skin to dry up, this means the products are better for your skin and do the job they should :)

Hope these first impressions and reviews help you all with you purchases, let me know what you've recently bought in the comments box

Mini Haul And Reviews :)

Hey Guys
Ok so yep i went a bit crazy in the cosmetics department :/ but never mind my makeup makes me smile :D
here is my haul of the month,
okay here we go my haul consists of
"that gal" Brightening face primer by benefit
"You glow girl solar powder" by Soap & Glory
"lemon Aid" by Colour correcting Eyelid primer
"Medium Concealer" by Babara Daly
"miss Popularity"Precision Highlighter for eyes and face by benefit
"superfine liner for brows" in soft brown 02 by Clinique
"Moisture Renew Lipstick" in Rose Passion by Rimmel
"Speed Brow" Quick set brow gel by benefit
"Lip Gloss" In buff 4 by Bobbi Brown
and lastly
"Bottom Lash Mascara" In 01 black by Clinique
so yep i went mad :) but hey I'm happy

i shall write and review these products in the order i have listed above
sooo firstly "That gal" Brightening Face Primer

<<< OK so this product does brighten my face and i have even been finding myself wearing it alone without the need for foundation as it gave my face a lovely glow so i definitely recommend this product for purchase and i am looking forward to using this on hot summer days :)

Next we move on to "You Glow Girl" OK this product was in a set that i received at Christmas but i
have only just used it so therefore here it is
i myself am usually not a huge fan of bronzers but this give such a natural glow and doesn't look so fake that i am instantly in love with it, the powder is so fine so doesn't feel thick and cake like one applied

Okay so next is "lemon aid and Medium Concealer
Lemon aid By benefit does exactly what it says and corrects the lid pigmentation but i find this product to be slightly oily and having to wait longer than expected before putting shadows on top, i have tried putting less product on but i still find it leaving my eyes a bit oily so not my fave product but it may work better on someone who may have dryer eye lids than myself

Medium Concealer by Babara Daly this product is very impressive for its very small price, this concealer was under 5 pounds and it hides every blemish i wish to cover, i have bought more than one of these and i have found this product to be a great addition to my professional kit! very happy results :)

"Miss Popularity" by benefit

This Product is an amazing highlighter as you can see from the swatch but i personally could not use this as a day to day make up look as it would too intense i think this is perfect for evenings and nights on the town hah :)

Clinique super fine liner for brows in 02 soft brown,
i cannot get a good enough photo of this product as the pencil itself is so slender and just gets lost in the photo, this pencil is alot darker once applied to brows that i expected it to be, but its not too much of a problem for myself as i am a fan of dark brows so advise for future shoppers swatch it properly :) ha don't waste your pennies on buying incorrect colours :)

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick, this lipstick is very in season right now as its coral but pink at the very same time :)

I do realise that on this photo it does appear very red like but fear not when you see it for real it is a medium of coral and pink perfect for this season

Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Buff 4

I myself am a huge fan of Bobbi brown lip glosses as i love the sheen you get from them, this colour is a lovely nude brown and it is unlike many other lip glosses by other brands this gloss is not sticky and isn't hard work to wear it also  looks stunning over rose passion by Rimmel which if your lucky i may swatch at the end of this post :)

Last and Most definitely not least is
Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
This wand has been created specially for bottom lashes and it works
amazingly, with the brush itself being so tiny it allows you to work each lash exactly how you want them to be, i personally have a problem with my bottom mascara smudging underneath my eye and end with a constant smoky eye, this mascara when on does not smudge or drop off the eyelashes and is by far my best buy  :)

And as promised Rimmel Rose Passion with Bobbi Brown Buff over

OK that's enough from me coming next will be my fortnightly Something i Love Sunday :)
Thanks :)

Something I Love Sunday :)

Hey!!
This is something new I've decided to do, every Sunday i shall blog about something i am loving
this week, sooo this week my ultimate product just has to be.....
The Daily Smooth Body Butter
With Rosehip seed oil and Cocoa butter
by Soap&Glory

Ahhhhh I love it!
okay so this is what the bottle says,
"DO or DRY"
"Amazingly-Effective Dry Skin Formula"
"Perennially flaky woman swaps weekly sessions with motivation coach for The Daily Smooth"

okay that's the main slogans there are alot more written on but i would be here all night, so yep as long as you have the important bits :)
well now for my opinion....
I myself am usually not a fan of the scent of body butters how ever, this smells like nothing else i have used before, its very sweet but fruity at the very same time, leaves my skin smelling lush!!
i find it is so nice to massage into my skin and it absorbs lovely!
my only dislike is that the bottle is just not big enough!! i wish it came in a huge tub!!
this product i received as Christmas present gift set, so i haven't purchased any myself yet, but it retails at £5.62 from boots stores, which considering how long it is lasting me i personally think isn't too steep!!

Okay Thats all for My Something I Love Sunday,

SuperDrugs In House Collection

 Hey guys!
Today i shall be reviewing Superdrugs new in house brand which is called
MUA Makeup Academy.
firstly i only currently have the eye shadows from this collection but still i have been very impressed,
everything in this collection is very inexpensive to buy being only a pound an item but still very good quality for the small amount of money leaving your purses which to me
well is pretty rare !! so anyway lets get on with it, i purchased 15 of the shadows i believe there are more but i just got one of each that were in stock so ye!
okay so i cannot get a perfect group picture but i shall swatch them and show you as i go along :)

okay firstly i shall swatch all the matte!!
okay L-R not sure if you can see it as it is very sheer shade 16, then shade 17, shade 18 and lastly shade 19!
okay so here are the swatches shade 16 is a beautiful very sheer pink which is very similar to my actually skin colour so ye doesn't show too well but still gorgeous, shade 19 is my absolute fave a matte choc brown ahhh stunning is the word that comes to mind haha!!
 now for the pearls!
From L-R these are the pearl shades... 7 , 6, 5, 4 , 2, and 1

These are the lighter half of the pearl shades and are much more pigmented than the matte, hardly any product was used to do these swatches, which means more product for me :) haha!
shade 4 is the sheer purple this would be lovely for a spring look! shades 1 and 2 could both be used as highlighters on the brow and cheekbone!

From left to right the darker few shade 10 , 11 ,  12 , 13 and  15

Okay firstly shade 11 and 12 are crazy similar and tbh don't see the need for them both choose one or they other in the pan they look very different but as you can see on my swatch once applied well they are soo similar!
my fave is shade 13 as its a very deep aubergine and would do an amazing smoky eye!!

My overview of the eye shadows is that money wise they are crazy cheap and i will definitely purchase more colours, as for pigmentation i think the pearl shades are more pigmented than the matte!! and much more product is needed with the matte the get the colour it looks in the pan!! I only have one other niggle about the eye shadows, i know they are very cheap to buy but i think the packaging could be made to look nicer, when you buy them they have a small sticky tab which keeps them closed but when peeled off it leaves a sticky mess which you have to scrape off but other than that overall a good product!
I will be buying many more MUA products to try and i shall let you all know how they are :)

Royal & Langnickel Brush Review

Hey Guys!!
Today i shall be reviewing the Royal & Langnickel pink 13pc brush roll that i excitedly purchased from IMATS, i have been SO pleased with these brushes and recommend them highly!!
My particular roll consists of
  • Dome Powder brush
  • Blush brush
  • Foundation brush
  • Finishing fan
  • Brow and Lash Comb
  • Lash brush
  • Concealer brush
  • Angled Brow brush
  • Medium Eye Shader
  • Large Eye Shader
  • Sponge
  • Smudger brush
  • Last but definitely not least.... Detail Liner brush!!
My List Goes from R-L
This particular brush roll is from the "Brush Essentials" line from Royal and Langnickel which is 1 of 5 lines that they have. The brush essentials line consists of brushes which have natural and synthetic fibres, this kit i find would be perfect for beginners or students as it gives a good range or brushes for kits or for home use!

The domed powder brush and the blush brush are ultimately my personal faves,
i find that neither of the brushes grab too much product and they leave a flawless finish on the skin!
Right- Domed Powder
Left- Blush
The only brush that i myself am not a huge fan of is the sponge, as it appears the same as generic sponge brushes/pads that tend to come in cheaper branded quads and eyeshadow trios, and i find that the sponge itself grabs and holds onto too much product therefor wasting YOUR makeup!! i don't find it necessary to be in this brush set! but yanoww each to their own!!

Nowwww to drop the bomb, unfortunately this particular pink set is not available in the online store and is purely sold at trade shows and conventions. However it can still be purchased in black online :)
From IMATS i did purchase many more Royal & Langnickel brushes and i shall be reviewing them all very soon as they are from various lines with in Royal & Langnickel!!

Hope This Helps With Future Purchases
